In June 1998, VINEXPO organized its first event outside France when it created an exhibition solely dedicated to visitors from the Asia-Pacific zone. The first show took place in Hong Kong. On the strength of this success, the third exhibition for the Asia-Pacific zone, entitled VINEXPO ASIA-PACIFIC was again held in Tokyo in June 2002.
