Port Metro Vancouver is Canada's largest and most diversified port, trading more than $53 billion in goods with more than 120 trading economies annually. Port activities generate 69,200 jobs across Canada with $4 billion in Gross Domestic Product and $8.9 billion in economic output. Ministry of Transportation (MoT) announced that Highway 17 improvements are now underway in Delta, as part of the traffic mitigation activities for the Deltaport Third Berth Project. The Deltaport Third Berth Project will add a third berth to the existing two berth terminal at the Deltaport container terminal, located at Roberts Bank in Delta, BC. The Deltaport Third Berth Project is in direct response to the growing needs of Canadian industry and consumer demand for the benefit of British Columbia and Canadian workers and economies.
